This episode features several prominent members of the most popular (only?) Neo Geo Pocket forum; Sector: NGP. GFR's own SignOfZeta, award wining DS homebrew developer and author of The Exhaustive Neo Geo Pocket Color Software FAQ, Sweater Fish Deluxe, Dive Alert King of the Sea, A-Star, and real life Final Fantasy character Brandon "Insert Credit" Sheffield aka: Exodus, aka: Sexodus.

Here we discuss Touchdown! The Alien Attack (DS), Dive Alert (NGP), console to handheld linking and why it seems to always suck. Also, the popularity of flash carts, what's happening to Sega these days.

Note: Shadow did in fact debut in Sonic Adventure 2.

1. My favorite use of hooking up a handheld to a console would be from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I used to really like raising my Chao on the go with my GBA and having the capability to transfer Chao from the GC to the GBA and back was one of the killer features that I liked about Battle. I was also a big fan of the Chao VMU games in the original Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast.

2. I still have my Dreamcast that I got two months after the US launch. I only started playing with it again less than a month ago after I stopped using it for over 3 years. I am currently playing some Seaman and some offline PSO. I love my Dreamcast and I haven't had as much fun gaming since the days when I was really hooked to my Dreamcast. At this time, I am trying to make another attempt to get a working PC-DC server setup so that I can play the very few DC games that can still be played online in some form; what I need right now is to get a new modem since I don't have a voice compatible modem.

3. I really liked the Sonic Adventure series especially Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on the GameCube. I really hate Big the Cat though. Including fishing in a Sonic game was a dumb idea.

Let us know if you get anything going as far as a PSO server goes. I'm sure we could get a four person thing going on with that.

I got all the stuff that I needed and I was successful in getting my Dreamcast online. Getting PSO v2 connected to the schthack server took a while to figure out but I can now play PSO online. I wish that I could have made this much progress years ago when there was a more active Dreamcast community; at least on the schthack server, I can play with people using other versions of PSO. I will have to get in on some of the game events at onlineconsoles as well. That's about it.

Ah, sorry, I was thinking you were going to run a server, I didn't realize you were talking about dialing into your PC with your DC.

I tried getting this going on OSX, but Fink wouldn't install for some reason so I was screwed right from step one.

I didn't realize that I wasn't logged in before. It should be obvious but the V for Victory comment is mine. Sorry about that.

It doesn't really matter but Sept. 9 was the 8th year anniversary of the US launch of the Dreamcast. It is weird to think that the Dreamcast is over 8 years old.

I have 2 dreamcasts.

I bought the second one for $70 cause I was too lazy to keep dragging my main one to my fighting game sessions.

Back then Tekken Tag, CVS2, MVC2, and SC2 were my friggin' lifeblood.

It doesn't matter but I have also gotten into PSO: Blue Burst. I played the open beta years ago and I didn't really like it mainly due to not liking the controls. I still don't really like the controls but I have gotten adjusted a little bit. I can't wait to try out Ep. 2 and 4. Episode 1 for the Dreamcast will probably still be my favorite PSO.
